She's never been content to go with the status quo, and Lady Gaga definitely stood out from the crowd as she took the stage at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (August 28). The 25-year-old made her grand entrance by opening up the Nokia Theatre show dressed in drag while delving into her hit single "You and I". The Mother Monster brought the star-studded audience to its feet during her stage effort while also celebrating as "Born This Way" won the first-ever Moonman for Best Video With a Message. Talking about the accolade with MTV, Gaga told, "I'm really proud of the 'Born This Way' video, and for it to be nominated is an absolute honor."
