Kim said she didn't know which of the three Vera Wang dresses she was going to wear until two days before the wedding, but ultimately decided to say her "I Dos" in a princess gown. Vera described the full tulle skirt, basque waist and hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué bodice and train as "Cinderella with a very sexy body". Adding Kimmy "has a very Liz Taylor or Sofia Loren kind of body and we didn't want to lose that." Following the ceremony, the newlywed changed into a her "favorite" look for the first dance. The Georgette mermaid dress included hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and hand-cut organza petals intermixed with Chantilly lace motifs and organza sprig embroidery on the skirt. For her last costume change of the night, Mrs. Humphries went with the simplest dress of all: a crepe-back satin gown with v-neck and circle skirt. At a screening of Our Idiot Brother the Sports Illustrated cover girl proclaimed: "…Everybody thinks models are stupid, but trust me, we are very smart. Just for you to know, people, models are very smart. We're investing money in the right way, and, you know, a modeling job I'm taking as a businesswoman. So it's not fun for me, it's work." And just in case you didn't hear her the first time, Irina continued: "I'm very smart and I have a great team of people around me investing my money. I'm not buying gold — yet. I'm just collecting gold presents, which is more fun, actually, than buying gold." You may be smart Irina, but we're pretty sure that's not what got you a modeling career. Just sayin'. For a flat rate, (usually around $30-$40) you can go in and get your hair blow dried as long as you're not looking for a hair cut or change of color. A lot of locations are even serving drinks while you go in to get your hair done. What do U think of the blow-dry idea? At the London premiere on Tuesday night, Anne followed up her New York premiere ensemble with another dress from the Alexander McQueen Resort collection. Her dress of choice was a lace capsleeve frock that flared out at the bottom complete with McQueen pumps and skull clutch. We're loving the dress, but there's something about the hair that's bothering us. Tell us what U think below! The mascara one doesn't look that Photoshopped, but the foundation ad? Yikes! It's almost like they replaced the real Scarlett with a ScarJo mannequin. Thoughts??? The line, Nuance by Sala Hayek, was set to be sold at CVS stores and now it's finally here! The collection includes goodies like tinted moisturizers, gel liners, body lotions, hair masks, creams, and so much more all for under $20! Plus, we're loving the packaging!!! The Perfect Lips Lip Quad actually "blooms open" from it's seed looking container. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Katie Holmes is rackin' up those magazine covers! After covering InStyle and Spanish Vogue, Mrs. Cruise is currently on the front of Elle Russia's September issue. For her spread, Katie was styled by her longtime stylist Jeanne Yang in mostly looks from MaxMara, which isn't very surprising since the label named her the "Face of the Future". We're loving her ed! It's so classy and chic. [Images courtesy of Elle Russia.] | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Disney Princesses have never looked so fierce! Check out these Vogue cover illustrations starring everyone's favorite princesses: Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Tiana, Snow White, Pocahontas, Jasmine and Cinderella. The drawings were done by Dante and we think he did a pretty good job, especially with the accompanying text. Think Anna Wintour would approve? | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Avril Lavigne is expanding! The singer will show her Abbey Dawn line at New York Fashion Week next month. Her line, which already includes several goodies, is currently sold at Kohls and include denim, skirts, dresses, wallets, handbags, eyewear, footwear, and of course hoodies. As for her Fashion Week showcase, that will take place on September 12th at the Style 360-Metropolitan Pavilion. Wonder if Brody Jenner will be seated front row? For their cover story, Mary-Kate and Ashley talked about what else? The Row. Here are some HIGHlights: On launching their first tween line at Walmart: "There weren't really celebrity fashion brands at the time. And we were very young, but it was definitely a reflection of our own style." On the importance of fit: "We'd go through racks and racks of clothes, and hours of fittings. When you cut something down that small, it has to be precise. So we've always been really interested in fit. And over the years we've become more educated in fabrics and make, and appreciating those small details. That's where we start from now, always - what feels right." On not using their names to sell The Row: "We didn't want people to know that we were behind it. We'd learnt so much about building brands and talking to a specific customer. We did it with our faces at the beginning, and we knew we didn't want to do that any more. It's far more fun this way." On the future of their clothing line: "When the time is right, we definitely want some sort of home where we display it the way we want to." If they do open a store, they're going to need lots of security for that $35,000 backpack of theirs. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Of all the collaborations we've seen this is by far one of the most bizarre. The UK's Glamour magazine has commissioned Krispy Kreme to make special doughnuts for London Fashion Week because we all know how much the fashion world loves their fattening treats, right? The doughnut company has concocted two special "Glamour Glazes" for the occasion: strawberry and orange. The 217+ calorie doughnuts will be available for $2.25 ($15 for a dozen) at Krispy Kreme locations in the UK from August 29th to October 2nd. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Face palm! Old Navy's selling a bunch of college t-shirts just in time for football season, unfortunately they're all grammatically incorrect. Instead of printing "Let's Go!!" all the shirts read "Lets Go!!", which is wrong. An employee who actually sat through a first grade English lesson tried to fix the retailer's mistake in the item description, but the inconsistency makes it all the more embarrassing. It's OK Old Navy, Wet Seal feels you're your pain. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | How hot did Helen Mirren look last night at the screening of The Debt? The 66 year old sizzled outside the Tribeca Grand Hotel in a red Michael Kors jersey dress accented with her own brooches. Perfection! [Image via WENN.] | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
